October was a busy month! We had a lot of fun, and it is always a little sad to see the month end. However, this fist few days of November have also been eventful. First, Real Salt Lake donated books to our classroom. The kids were so excited to see all of the new books for our classroom. They also donated sets of books, so now I can start my book clubs during small group time. We also had a visit from the Art Truck. This was a fun activity where the kids learned about how art can bring communities together and open up discussions about people we find in our communities. It was a wonderful message and the kids were even able to participate in an art project called "Working Hands." This will be displayed in the school. I hope you all get a chance to see it! The pumpkin projects were wonderful and the kids did a great job reading to the first graders. I was really proud of them!! Halloween was a blast and the kids enjoyed the party. Halloween is always one of my favorite days of the year at school, and this year was a lot of fun. I loved seeing their costumes! Below you will see pictures of all of the fun things we have been up to at school. Ms. O I love when the kids share their talents with the class. Sabrina played my piano for the class. I was so excited because my piano doesn't get played nearly enough! Pumpkin Projects Halloween New Books and the Art Truck Comments are closed.

Ms. O I was born and raised in Utah. After I graduated from the University of Utah, I lived in California, Texas, Pennsylvania and Hawaii. I am happy to be back in Utah. I enjoy paddle boarding, cooking, hiking, skiing and running. I have two adorable kids who keep me pretty busy. I love Mexican food and coffee. This is my third year at Sunrise and I am so happy to be a part of the Sunrise community. Third grade is my favorite grade! Archives
