We have had a great couple of weeks in our class. The class has been focusing on writing opinion pieces using evidence from texts to support their opinion. We held a debate in class about which is a better pet: cats or dogs. Team Dog may have had a slight edge, but all participants did a wonderful job! In the next couple of weeks we will be working more on our narrative and opinion writing before moving on to informative writing. I will also have the students work more in the Google Classroom to help them with writing using technology. Don't forget that the Native American project is due December 6th. I can't wait to see their presentations. We don't have school November 23-27 for the Thanksgiving break. Also, report cards will be sent home Monday, November 28th. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Ms. O Below are some pictures of our classroom activities! We lost power one day, so we decided to take the classroom outside to enjoy the weather before the snow arrived: We also had our Respect day at school. The kids were asked to dress up like someone they respect. I loved seeing the kids who were dressed up like their parents. There was a group that dressed up as me. That made my day!!! The other Ms. Os: Here are some shots from our Cats vs. Dog debate: Comments are closed.

Ms. O I was born and raised in Utah. After I graduated from the University of Utah, I lived in California, Texas, Pennsylvania and Hawaii. I am happy to be back in Utah. I enjoy paddle boarding, cooking, hiking, skiing and running. I have two adorable kids who keep me pretty busy. I love Mexican food and coffee. This is my third year at Sunrise and I am so happy to be a part of the Sunrise community. Third grade is my favorite grade! Archives
