Two subjects that I LOVE to teach: science and social studies. I wish I had more time to teach these subjects each day. I was so happy to see how excited the kids were when I told them we would be starting our first science unit on living and non-living. The kids have enjoyed working in their interactive notebooks and we also made terrariums. This was the first time I have tried this activity and I am so glad that we did them in my class this year. It was a fun activity and the terrariums turned out great! The kids loved building their terrariums. The kids were also given an introduction to our Native American social studies unit and our unit on cultures, by going on our field trip to This is the Place Heritage Park. The kids had fun exploring the park. I am excited to dive deeper into this unit. I love seeing how excited this group of kids get when we are learning new things! Below are a couple of slideshows of the kids: Comments are closed.

Ms. O I was born and raised in Utah. After I graduated from the University of Utah, I lived in California, Texas, Pennsylvania and Hawaii. I am happy to be back in Utah. I enjoy paddle boarding, cooking, hiking, skiing and running. I have two adorable kids who keep me pretty busy. I love Mexican food and coffee. This is my third year at Sunrise and I am so happy to be a part of the Sunrise community. Third grade is my favorite grade! Archives
